Rope Application

What is Threading?

Thread lifts for face, neck, and eyebrows are minimally invasive procedures applied to patients who are too young for surgery, do not want surgery, want to return to daily life immediately, or do not want general anesthesia. Thanks to minimal tissue damage and lower risk, they allow for a quick return to normal life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of ropes are used for rope hangers?

For non-surgical face, neck, and eyebrow lifting, threads of various types are applied using different techniques, suspended in the direction of gravity. The materials used are completely non-allergenic and do not cause any reactions. Some of the materials are made from PLLA (poly-l-lactic acid) and PLC (polycoprolactone) and completely dissolve within a few years. These materials also stimulate collagen synthesis, creating a vibrant and radiant appearance on the skin. Some of the materials used are permanent and have elastic properties.

For face, neck, and eyebrow lifting with thread lifts, APTOS, Silhouette Soft, Spring Thread, and Spiderweb can be used.

How is a face, neck, and eyebrow lift performed with thread lifts?

Local anesthesia is applied to the entry points in the area to be treated. After the entry points are made, threads are attached to the desired areas using special guides, in the opposite direction of gravity. The procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The effect is seen immediately after the procedure and fully settles within 4-6 weeks with the synthesis of new collagen formation.

Post-procedure recommendations and precautions?

You can immediately return to daily life after the procedure. Swelling, dimpling, or ecchymosis (bruising) may occur at the entry points. You may feel tightness in the treated area. It is important to avoid trauma and hard foods, especially for 1-2 weeks after the procedure. Since the threads have limited load-bearing capacity, applying excessive force can cause the threads to break and asymmetry to occur.
